Connecting for better
The River Valley Broadband Coalition works to improve internet access, affordability, and adoption in the River Valley School District area (Southwest Wisconsin).
Affordable Connectivity Program Ends
The Federal Communications Commission announced the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) ended June 1, 2024 due to a lack of additional funding from Congress. The federal program, initiated in 2021, offered eligible households a discount on monthly internet bills and one-time discounts off the purchase of a laptop, desktop computer or tablet.
According to the FCC, ACP households should work directly with their internet service providers to continue service after the ACP ends. Consumers with questions can call the ACP Support Center at 877-384-2575.
